Post-Holiday Gifts (to myself!)

I am slowly learning the art of the sale shopper: know what you want, and when you see it on sale, buy it.

For at least a year and a half, I have been wanting a long cardigan sweater, in brown, for the office. I have a chunky, clunky thing in grey that doesn't go with any of my work wardrobe. Behold! The very thing, in Bittersweet (dark brown) from Talbots, a quality name in women's clothing. A $98 sweater on sale for $30. Sold!

More frivolously, I have been coveting this silk scarf from the moment I saw it. But for $100? No. My life is not one that requires a wardrobe of silk scarves. But for $25? Hell yes!

But I am not yet a sale-fu master, for I did see this gorgeous pin and snapped it up. Do I regret it? Nope! But it strays from the path of the true sale shopper.
